Last month, the baseball world lost several of its icons, including Los Angeles Dodgers legend Tommy Lasorda, who passed away due to heart failure at age 93 on January 7, 2021. Despite a short-lived and sub-par career as a player, Lasorda goes down in baseball history as one of the best managers ever with two World Series championships as the Dodgers manager for 20 years.

After his official retirement from baseball on February 1, Dustin Pedroia concluded a spectacular 14-year career as the second baseman for the Boston Red Sox. Pedroia succeeded at baseball for all of the right reasons; he brought a level of energy and passion to the field matched by few and worked tirelessly to become an elite athlete.
